Canada Goose
The Canada Goose (Branta canadensis) is a large waterbird native to North America. They are known for their distinctive black head and neck with a white "chinstrap" and brownish-gray body. They have a long, black neck and a stout, pointed bill that is adapted for grazing on grasses and other vegetation. Canada Geese are migratory birds and can be found throughout North America, breeding in the northern regions and wintering in the southern regions. They typically inhabit wetlands, lakes, and rivers, and are often seen flying in V-formation during migration. Canada Geese are social birds and can be found in flocks of up to several hundred individuals. They are also known for their loud, honking calls, which can be heard from a distance. Despite their popularity, Canada Geese can sometimes be considered pests in urban areas due to their large populations and droppings.
