Today was basically the last nice day then it gets hot again. I don't mind the hot weather myself, but my father hates it as his neck feels ten times worse because of the heat. I went for another bicycle ride on my ebike and did another 10 miles. I am having no problems in exercising, but it's the food intake that is causing me the problem with my weight. I really should have more will power, but with all that is going on in the world and my personal life it is kind of hard. I know it is no excuse, but I don't what the alternative would be --- laughing out loud.

I went for my fourth straight bicycle ride on my Lectric ST 1.0 and rode 10.5 miles. I believe this is the 4th straight day that I have rode my bicycle. It was a beautiful day outside as the temperature was nice and it wasn't hot out. I need to tighten my front fender as it is rattling a little bit from the wipe out the other day. I just have to reign my eating in a little bit as that is really defeating the purpose of exercising on a daily basis. I keep on telling myself tomorrow, but tomorrow never comes. Well, at least I don't drink alcohol or smoke which are other bad habits to have. I don't think this Covid-19 virus will ever go away as it has already been a year and a half. Supposedly it is getting worse, but it hard to tell who is telling truth as you can't trust politicians in Washington D.C. or the News (Local or National). Oh Well, one can only take one day at a time.

What happened to the United States? The Coronavirus Pandemic is still going on in 2021 and it's already August. It has killed a lot of people, made many have long-term health problems, civil unrest amongst the U.S. population and has created a great division between Democrats and Republicans. Racism has reared in ugly head once again and basically used when one side disagrees with the other side. Crazy teachings are trying to be taught in schools such as Critical Race Theory (CRT) and people have lost their minds as they want to "Defund the Police" while crime is rapidly going unchecked. Systemic Racism is basically a new philosophy where it says people don't realize that they are racists and some are being required to attend seminars to point that out to them. What happened to everyone being treated as equals regards of their skin color or sexual orientation? That answer is complex and simple at the same time. A relative pointed out that all the 60s movement have been basically wiped out over the last year and a half. People in history weren't perfect and neither am I, but with a few extreme exceptions the founders of our country along with people who contributed in building this country had noble intentions. The United States Constitution is a living breathing document that changes over time to fit with the times. Trying to change it without doing it the right way is wrong and so is trying to circumnavigate the document is also wrong.

The last day of July isn't and July isn't ending so well. Hopefully August will be better, but I have my doubts. It's so hard to stay positive at times, but being negative all the time isn't the answer. If only I could get away for a few days by myself, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. I feel sorry for my father as he's without his wife, who was he was married for 65 years which is unheard in today's world. On a brighter note, it has cooled down a little as it is only going int to 70s and low 80s for next 3-4 days. Though I haven't checked the weather forecast recently, so they might had change it a little. I haven't had to water the grass the last 2 to 3 weeks as we have been getting a lot of rain. That is unusual as the Summer months usually doesn't rain all that much. Well, I think that does it for this post and I hope everyone has a good day. Carpe diem!

You know when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade out of those lemons. My late mother introduced me to the book "When Bad Things Happen to Good People" by Harold Kushner that has inspired me face my inner turmoil that most of feel throughout our lives. I feel that I for the most part have overcome the turmoil and for the most part my life so far has been a good one. I don't drink or smoke, but my one bad habit is that I'm am overweight (obese) though I have been exercise and trying to watch what I eat. Some days I feel like I am fighting a losing battle, but every morning when I wake up in the morning I feel determined to win a small battle against obesity. I bought one of the cheapest electric bikes the Lectric ST and really enjoy riding the bike with just a few minor mishaps. The mishaps were me crashing the ebike, but thankfully no major damage to the bicycle and more importantly me.

Well, I am starting to make some headway in my designing and developing my new main website. I even renamed the website to a more professional sounding name called "The Photo Tech Guru" as I really did not think The Miniature Photographer fitted what I am after. I still have a ways to go, but the good thing is I don't have to reinvent the wheel figuratively speaking as I coded the back end code in PHP Object-oriented Programming which means a lot of the code that was developed for my old website is easily transferred to this website. Just with a few modifications the code runs with no problem, but the CSS is another story. However, with Sass and using Grids/Flex that too is relatively easy to do.

Got lucky again this year as the nest is back and I'm calling it "The Robin Family II". This year though the female (or the male) is a little more protective of the babies as she/he won't let me get near the nest. That's OK as I have a long telephone lens that doesn't intrude on the raising of the family. Well, my the babies are getting big and will be leaving the nest pretty soon. I hope another American Robin Family builds a nest next year on the same downspout as it is enjoyable watching them grow.

I am finally starting to work on my website a little as I am starting to feel in better spirits and hopefully I can stay that way for sometime. Just check to see if this will still create a post and I am pretty sure that it will.

It's currently raining right now and the weekend is supposed to be the start of a heat wave that is supposed to last awhile. Read in the news that DTE is supposed to raise the rates during the peak hour and should cost $2.00 more per month. I really need to start developing this website and make some changes that will improve it.

I really haven't worked on my website or really posted anything in awhile. Things are getting somewhat back to normal around here. I have been feeling a little depressed lately as life isn't going the way that I want it to go, but my life could be worse. Trying to leave a mark in this world while doing the right thing and without being selfish is kind of hard to do at times. I had a cousin the committed suicide that kind of made me look at my own life. Now, before anyone think that I'm suicidal I will state I'M DEFINITELY not as I am going to got out kicking and scream if I have to. By that I mean I am going to accomplish my goals in life or die trying. The sad thing is I never really knew this cousin all that well, but life is strange as do we really know someone all that well? OK, I'm going to have to stop being deep with thoughts. LOL

I normally don't share my dreams, but this dream was a nice though a bittersweet dream. I was sitting at a dining room table in a restaurant ordering breakfast contemplating what side dish to have with my omelette. My mom said "Why don't you have the bacon". Bacon was on my mom's favorites and as she was saying this I look around the place. I notice my father and sister there as well, we were all young again and in our Sunday clothes. Then I also notice that we were having breakfast at the Burroughs Farms restaurant (clubhouse?). I won't bore you with the rest of the dream as it took the usual weird turn that dreams normally do. It was like my mother was saying to me to keep on living a good clean life and don't worry about things you can not control. I bet she is reserving a spot for all of us (well trying for reserve a spot for me) and that she is being rewarded for the good life that she had while she was alive. I am sure we all have fond memories of Burroughs Farms and other places that we have been to that we reach back to when things get tough or we get a little depressed. It's nice to have these memories especially in troubling times. One of my favorite quotes from the movie "Starman" sums it up really nicely in my opinion. "Shall I tell you what I find beautiful about you? You are at your very best when things are worst

The reason I'm not watching Major League Baseball isn't because of the political reason itself rather because everyone is making it political. President Biden should be ashamed of himself in playing partisan politics, MLB should be ashamed of themselves for aligning themselves to one side and the American people should be ashamed of themselves in being so divided. I made a pack with myself that I will not watch or listen to any Detroit Tigers baseball game this year. Baseball should be above politics as the game itself is simplicity were anyone can play the game. Players today only care for money and adding politics into the game just ruins it for me. Baseball in its early days did have a racism problem, but they have over come major hurdles to make it where anyone can play the game or watch the game. Sure there are racists still out there, but deep in my heart 99 percent of Americans do NOT see color, no the see fellow Americans.
